Megan Mahan serves as Assistant City Manager overseeing Assistant to the City Manager, City Attorney, Parks, Arts & Recreation, Library, and General Services.
Megan has worked for the City of Grand Prairie since 2011. She started as a prosecutor in Municipal Court and served in multiple capacities through the years to ultimately become City Attorney. Prior to joining Grand Prairie, Megan was the elected Knox County Attorney, and still holds the unofficial title for the youngest County Attorney in the state.
Megan is certified as a Local Government Fellow by the International Municipal Lawyers Association and has Merit Certification in Municipal Law from the Texas City Attorneys Association. Megan holds her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from Trinity University in San Antonio and her Juris Doctorate law degree from Texas Tech University. She is married and has a son.
